Mardi Gras 2017. Playing dead, but feeling so alive

This was a difficult essay to write, and an even more difficult experience to live through. Although my mental breakdown was excruciating, and I hope never to have another one, it did force me to refocus. I’m also writing again, and I have a lot of material to write about.
